"We aim to harness every child's innate curiosity, encouraging interaction, dialogue and engagement through a range of educational opportunities, both within and beyond the classroom walls."
Throughout the school, pupils are taught in bright and engaging classrooms which provide a warm and stimulating learning environment.
There are a range of specialist Teachers and extensive specialist facilities, including Music, Languages and Science rooms a Library; a specialist Art & DT studio; an ICT suite; and extensive on and off-site sporting facilities. Pupils also have access to an outdoor play area, a roof-terrace socialising area and one vast indoor playground.
In addition, Bishop's Park is on our doorstep and is used for outdoor free-play, the weekly "well-being walks," and the Pre-Prep "Outdoor Classroom."
The teaching, learning and pastoral support at Sinclair House not only provides secure academic foundations for secondary schooling, but also serves as preparation for the challenges and opportunities that children will inevitably face throughout their future endeavours.
Our staffing team is comprised of experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated teachers who go above and beyond to ensure that all children are appropriately challenged, stimulated, develop a love for learning, a confidence within their abilities, and importantly, grow into strong children.
CHALLENGE & ENRICH
A CONSISTENT GRADIENT OF LEARNING TOWARDS 11+
At Sinclair House, we believe that education is about more than just assessment and results.
These crucial preparatory years also provide children with essential and foundational knowledge and understanding that they build upon and help them to give meaning to their lives, as well as qualifications and skills to help them in the future.
However, it is our aim to ensure that all children progress and achieve, equipping all our children with secure foundations in the key subject areas and we continually monitor pupil progress.
This view underpins our teaching and learning at SHS as we aim to inspire a love of learning for our children whilst also prepare them for the competitive 11+ and exit school exams.
We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, which strives to meet the needs of all children.
All children benefit from quality teaching in the classroom.
Some children require additional support and a few children’s needs are met through individual programmes.
