Sinclair House School welcomes applications from pupils of all social and cultural backgrounds regardless of ethnicity, culture or religion, home language, family background, disability or other attributes, as stated in the Equality Act 2010, who would benefit from an education and would contribute fully to the wider life of school.
Our admissions process starts with a child’s registration. This comprises the completion of a Registration Form and the payment of a non-refundable Registration fee of £100.00. You can find copies of the registration forms here >
Parents are invited to come and visit Sinclair House School (SHS). An appointment is easily made and gives parents a chance to tour the Preparatory School and/or the Montessori Nursery, with the Principal and see us in action! In addition to our Open Mornings at the Preparatory School in the Spring and Autumn terms, we organise individual tours at both the Nursery and the Preparatory School. Please contact us directly to book a place.
Sinclair House School is a Non-Selective School; places are awarded to children entering the Nursery and Reception in priority order, by the date of registration. Early registration for these entry points is advised. Occasional in year places are offered, subject to availability. Offers are made up to one year before the proposed date of entry in the Nursery and Reception Class. Priority is given to siblings of children already at our Preparatory School and/or Montessori Nursery.
Parents are required to disclose any educational needs, and if an Education Psychologist report or other medical practitioner’s reports have been provided for the child, a copy should be forwarded to the school.
If you would like to make an appointment to have a look around our School, please email: email@example.com
We will be holding our next Open Mornings in the Spring Term of 2020.
Thursday 12th March 2020, 10.00 am - 11.30 am
Please feel free to contact us for further information and details regarding these upcoming dates. If you are unable to attend our Open Days, please contact our School Secretary via the School Office to enquire about individual tours of the school.
When should I register my child?
We recommend that you register your child 2 years before your desired entrance date, to give you the best chance of receiving a place. Completion of the registration form (you can download this here >), will enable you to join the waiting list. It should be noted that registration does not guarantee a place for a child.
How do I make an appointment to see the school?
Please contact the School Office to arrange a date for a show-around, which will give you the opportunity to meet with our Staff and the Principal, get a feel for the School, and ask any questions you may have. We recommend that you try and make an appointment where possible, to get a good feel for the school, our culture and ethos, and all that we offer within our broad curriculum.
Do you have a policy on offering places to pupils' siblings?
Places are generally allocated on a "first-come, first-serve" basis, and priority is given to siblings of children who are currently pupils within the school.
What happens after we have been offered a place?
Once you have received notification from the School that your child/children have been offered a place, you will be required to pay a deposit to reserve this. The School Office will be in contact in due course and will send you a Welcome Pack with information for new starters.
If your child/children are entering the Sinclair House Nursery, we will also arrange for them to attend a an Introductory Session to give them the opportunity to spend some time in the Nursery, meet their new teachers, and adjust to their new surroundings.
My family has just moved to the area and we have not registered our child/children. Is there still a chance of getting a place?
We suggest that you always contact the School Office; London has a transient population and places can and do become available due to unforeseen circumstances.
Do you provide school lunches?
In the Prep School, all children receive a school lunch which is provided by our caterers "Naked Nosh" using fresh & seasonal ingredients. Children in our Nursery can opt to have a school lunch or bring their own packed lunch if staying for lunch.
