In Year 3 Falcons, the emphasis is on developing independent learning, self-motivation and good organisational skills. Children are encouraged to take responsibility for their own possessions as they move around the school to specialist lessons such as music, PE, RE and ICT.

The curriculum is based on a termly project, covering the subjects of history, geography, science, ICT, Art and Design, PSHE, RE and Music. The children follow a continuous yearly project in which captures the imagination and enthusiasm of this year group and enable us to incorporate a range of activities.

Informal assessments are introduced in Year 3 and homework is set each evening with the continuing emphasis on English, Mathematics and project research.

The Falcons mix with the Eagles Year 2 group in P.E. and swimming lessons. Weekly assemblies provide an opportunity to celebrate achievements for all children.
